Alesssandra Gucci AG Limited Edition

alesssandra-gucci-ag-limited-edition This Gucci heir is not cashing in on her famous surname, well, not directly anyway (And if she did, she'd get sued by the Gucci group. Oh, and her mother is in jail for arranging a hitman to kill her father. The Gucci tale is one of murder and madness!). Alessandra Gucci's line of handbags, called AG Limited Edition has created quite a stir in the fashion industry because of her name but they will be remembered for their unique designs. I am not a big fan of over embellished bags without much function but I do appreciate the unique design of the one above-- it is the perfect bag for Fancy Nancy in her chauffeured Bentley! There will only be 99 AG Limited bags made in three styles and three colors, wholesale price is steep at $6,665 to $10,134 (meaning retail will be a bit more than double that). What do you think? Will the line sink or swim, in other words: Snob or Slob?

First of all, I fancy that soft brown leather very much. With an overabundance of dangling suede fringe running down the middle and a couple of pounds of brass studding details, this bag dooms to be a chic beauty. In addition, the signature heart-shaped Gucci crest charms are definitely important eye-catching points of all.

When it comes to my personal preferences, I would much rather prefer a bit large but light- weight bags. The seventeen by fifteen inch dimension of the hobo is just suitable for my daily needs. There is also an inside cell phone pocket which is very convenient.

I spent Sunday afternoon roaming around the city between shows (it was almost 50 degrees when I arrived, my friends say I brought the sunshine!) and soaking in the amazing energy of the greatest city on earth. I bring my toddler son here 3-4 times a year and he has grown to love "N'york", as he calls it. He especially loves going to the parks and many playgrounds the city has to offer. Like my son and I, Gucci loves New York, too! Gucci Spring 2009 Handbag Collection Reviews

Frida Giannini, the designer for Gucci, is different from Milan's other female designers. There was absolutely no runway fantasia in her show, it was strictly ready to wear on the streets. While I applaud her pragmatic standpoint, I was a bit shocked that she only offered 3 handbag designs in this collection. There was an up-sized, slouchier, hand-stitched "New Jackie" (which is a fantastic handbag), a utilitarian backpack that transforms into a carryall, and a clutch. She did the "New Jackie" in every possible material from the GG logo to exotics like crocodile and snakeskin. One version had the GG logo with snakeskin front pockets. Same thing with the backpack, but the was only one version of the clutch (which I didn't really care for). The "New Jackie" is a classy and beautiful handbag and would look gorgeous with any outfit, especially a business suit. But with only one out of three designs that I liked from this collection, I thought the handbags were an overall disappointment. Especially after the horrible Fall 2008's Babouska collection. In Giannini defense she has steered the Gucci label in a more chic business like direction, so the lack of frills and wild color combinations makes sense, but I would have liked to see more variety. And do we really need a backpack?

Rihanna for Gucci

The fashion world was buzzing over news that Rihanna would be teaming up with Gucci. Rihanna is known for her funky style, young appeal, never ending legs, and brilliant voice. Gucci creative director Frida Giannini has said, "I wanted Rihanna on board with this project because she's so young, so modern, and so iconic."

Rihanna adds, "I have always been a fan of the Gucci brand and the products, especially their handbags. But most of all, I'm very very intrigued by what they're doing with UNICEF. As an artist, I feel like it's our duty to make it a better place if we can. I'm blown away by what UNICEF has been able to accomplish in Africa with the money that Gucci has donated to them. I'm very fortunate to be part of this wonderful collaboration."

I have quite a good collection of these designer handbags. As we know that heriditary characteristics are inherited, my daughter also has developed the similar habbit. Whether it is for party or for casual outings I find them my good companion.

You know for me, this bag is a new designer bag. It is colourful,soft, and the style has just suited me aptly. It is simple, sophisticated and cool and decorated with a lots of logos and flowery designs. This Gucci cluth have been a favorite for quite some time and you could easily see them in old movies. This one always has my attention.It has a superiour quality of leather, and spacious size. Unlike structured bags that are of supersize. This bag seems to almost shrinked up when not entirely full.

I would definitely suggest many of my friends to buy them if you want to have a trendy look and you are crazy about party use. Though it is pretty costly. I would prefer to buy them since I find it very convinient to use.
