Since we got the cell phone, watch had become dispensable for me. Someone told me watch is a symbol of fashion and status and wearing a watch can help me go through my day in a more organized fashion. I accepted their suggestion and began to keep my eyes on watches. Last year, Gucci released the Chiodo watch collection which casted a spell on me. Tribeca Bag, in my mind must be very romantic. However, when seeing it, I am totally disappointed. And it's all Gucci's fault. The Gucci Tribeca Medium Shoulder Bag is a disaster of epic proportions. And that's coming from someone that normally really likes Gucci, even when they get a bit wacky with their designs. I usually understand what they're up to, but here…there just are no words. It's a big bag with a skinny, tiny strap - bad proportions! It's got a textured heart inset placed randomly on the front - icky! And it's got a big ol' tattoo design in the tradition of the geniuses (and I say that facetiously) over at Ed Hardy right smack dab in the middle. Eww. I've heard rumblings of unhappiness with the Cruise collection over in our Gucci section on the forum, but I figured it would still have some redeeming qualities to most of the bags. Some of them aren't so bad, but this? This is bad. I say this out of love, Gucci. I want you to make beautiful things. So please, for spring, try harder.

I am not a fan of Gucci. Especially the latest Gucci bags are heinous. I really despise the Gucci Monogram pattern, while I am not much of a monogram fan in general; the Gucci monogram makes me cringe for some reason. Luckily, there is finally a little accessory I do not have to click the X out button really quick on. Purple or black patent leather pulled tight make the Crystal Gucci Evening Bag a stunning accessory. I absolutely love the purple patent leather. The color reminds me of fresh juicy grapes right off the vine. There is a Gucci script detail in the bottom left coroner which is the perfect touch. Another surprising factor is this evening bag is affordable in the world of designer handbags with a price of $695.
As one of the most recognized luxury houses in the world, Gucci provides the amazing ready-to-well, the delicate jewelry, even the unique fragrance, but a lot of people think the handbags have been lacking that special touch that they need. However, the Hysteria line brings a fresh touch to Gucci, giving it the extra nudge that it needed to get me back on board. The Gucci Hysteria line drops the expected Gucci GG logo and brings in the family crest. The emblem adds the perfect touch that is not expected but much appreciated. And with New York being the new US Gucci flagship, the handbag selection is to die for. I have never seen so many exotic Gucci handbags. Everywhere we turned there were ostrich bags, python jackets, and crocodile skins. My absolute favorite was the $300,000 Gucci Crocodile Trunk. The trunk is a taupe crocodile and a stunning collector's piece (not to mention it is the only one of its kind). Going along with the crocodile craze, Gucci took one of its best bags of the season and dressed it up in yellow crocodile, creating the Gucci Crocodile Hysteria Bag. This is unlike any other Gucci bag I have seen in the longest time. The crocodile is buttery soft as it is taken from the belly of the crocodile. The inside is lined with goatskin that is even suppler. In fact, if they could make me a big pillow out of this exact material that would be heaven. This bag had the perfect slouch, the perfect chic feel, and the color was stunning. Only problem (for me at least) is the $37,500 price tag. I love this bag, love it so very much, but the price tag is way out of my range. Instead I could settle with the goatskin version ($1950).

But since the $37,500 price tag is much more wisely saved going towards a down payment on a house, I am left loving the Gucci Small Hysteria Bag is sultry magenta. The leather is slightly gathered at the top but the overall shape is slouchy. The double handles feature the metal Gucci crest detailing, which does stand out but is alluring in its own right. There is a detachable shoulder strap, but when worn the top of the bag folds over and gives a more casual look. The inside features a zip, cell phone, and PDA pocket, all necessities for 2008. The colorful option will be perfect for fall and winter.

One's meat may be another's poison. Towards every handbag people have their own opinions. The Gucci Medium Top Handle Handbag features metal plate details but is not immersed in silver. I am completely neutral about the bag, but am totally loathing the tassel details on either side. Tassels belong at the bottom of curtains and on many bags just look annoying. Black suede is the basis of the bag, which if offset by purple and red piping and metal plate detailing. Is it s a good thing or a bad thing that I am really just indifferent? Don't love it, don't hate it, just makes me say Ehhhh. Measurements are 9 2/5″H x 20 1/2″W x 6 1/3″D and the price is $2250.
Although in every season, the famous brands always come up with their new products, the classic lives in people's heart forever. Gucci Belt Bag is such a classic IT bag. I think this bag should be called Madonna because its re-invented itself so much. Gucci have re-invented it again for their Cruise line with bright vibrant colors blue and pink. I know that lots of tPF members favor this bag and I myself have it in denim from a few seasons back. I love just walking around not having to hold anything. It is such a popular bag that you have to have one; I bought mine after seeing Carrie from Sex and the City with hers. It can even be worn across your back like a messenger. I find it useful for everyday use and think it's a steal at $395 for the smaller version. The Gucci belt bag has Front pocket with Velcro flap closure, front pocket with zip closure, rear zip pocket and adjustable waist or shoulder strap. The smaller version measures 9.5 x 5.1 and the largest version measures 11.5 x 7. This bag comes in a fabulous range of colors.
I sport and love Gucci Horsebit Hobo, Gucci Crystal Evening Bag ect., but the birth of Gucci Indian Bag let me down. Your Indian bags have some potential, as in the shape is ok, but why would you put a design like this on one? Your Gucci Indian Bag above shows off multicolor blue bell embroidery with bamboo tassels and metal plate details. Unfortunately, the bells resemble jellyfish, which I absolutely despise. Jellyfish sting me, and stick on my skin, and turn me red with an itchy painful rash. Is there a reason you have bells that resemble jellyfish? It feels like the scene in Finding Nemo, where Nemo and Dori have to swim through the jellyfish. Do you remember what happened to Dori? The good news is, Dori lived. This bag itself is not absolutely horrible, but I feel like your bags in general have been horrible. I was at Saks the other day and a gold Python Indian was thrown on the sale table next to some Juicy Couture handbags. Talk about slummin' it. But please do not think you are a lost cause, because you are not. Do something bold, do something new, and just do something.

The bag is beige horsebit velvet with violet/mandarin/violet signature web and buckle detail. The horsebit details in the velvet really make the beauty of the bag's design stand out and grab attention. The dimensions are 11″H x 16″W x 5 1/2″D. Being a Gucci bag, the price is of course a bit high. This bag runs for $1,990.00.
I am falling in love with this bag from the very first moment of seeing this bag. I think it's stunning. The Gucci Fringe Evening Bag is the definition of purse sophistication. The bag comes with chain straps, a push-lock closure, the circular Gucci charm on the outside, and an inside pocket (which must be very small by the look of things). The dimensions are 7.7 x 1 x 4.5 inches. Unfortunately for me, my wallet, and my man, I of course drew a liking to the most expensive version of this bag. Hey, what can I say- it's a skill. The bag that features dark grey metal fringes and silver hardware will most likely make you cringe at the price tag: $5950 (all I can say is good thing they didn't round up to $6000). Gasp! How I wish I could have this bag!
This year the brown bags become the fashion trend. People enjoys their chocolately goodness. I am wandering in the world of brown bags to choose which one is best for me. Right now let's focus our attention to the Gucci Medium Hobo. Before anyone jumps down anyone's throat (including my own)- this is simply a style of a bag and none of us personally killed the rabbits being used for this. So Gucci is one of my favorites. I love my Large Horsebit Hobo, and I just love many of their styles and designs. This hobo is made of chocolate laser-cut rabbit with chocolate leather trim and bamboo details. I love the shape, I love the color, I love the bamboo, and I happen to love the fur. The price is readily available for $3,150 .
The patterns and prints in Gucci Spring 06 Cruise Line give off some tropical flair. The brilliant colors and special shape greatly impresses me.While I love the shape of this bag, I don't find it very practical. Gucci wants to welcome spring with the Gucci Spring '06 Medium Shoulder Bag. The tropical print you find of this Gucci bag is labeled the pigna print which looks like pineapples and bananas, but in a sort of abstract art. Yes, my description is lacking a bit, but nevertheless you understand what I mean (and if not you can see what I mean through the picture). The shape of this bag lured me in when I was recently in the Gucci store. Brown leather trim and braided handles set the patterned body off nicely along with goldtone hardware. If you are one of the ladies, much like my mom, who likes a bag to hang comfortably on the shoulder and not "ride up", then this bag will suit you well. Measuring 13″H X 17″L X 4 ?"W, this bag is cute for spring but to me isn't completely practical. Then again, who said that handbags are always practical? It is sold at price of $1550.

Now she even is as privileged to be wearing a different color every other day. I know I don't have that luxury, although I would love to, but I'm not making commercials about Pizza Hut's Buffalo Chicken Pizza either (yea, like that takes a lot of brains?!) Back to the Gucci. Mrs. Newlywed herself has been seen sporting the Gucci Horsebit Hobo in Pink and also tabacco colored lambskin and black lambskin.

If you are a Gucci aficionado, now you have a chance to shop what you desire. Think hard about what you would associate Gucci with. I will give you 5 seconds… 5…. 4…. 3…. 2…. 1. Now tell me if what you thought of was the Gucci Log Carrier. If you answered no, you are totally normal like the rest of us. If you actually said, "Why yes! That is exactly what I was thinking of!" well then you are really way too cool for me. I'm just really wondering who would want to carry hunks of dirty wood in a log carrier made by Gucci. What astonishes me even more is the mental picture of people carrying wood, dirty insect-filled wood, to their fireplaces in a Gucci log carrier. But like I always say - whatever floats your boat. If you have the money and Gucci is your style, then why not? The log carrier is 33.5 x 21.5 inches so it can fit most of your log needs (haha… still laughing). The outside is made of brown/black laser GG logo with black leather trim and suede interior. Ok, wow. Who needs to let their logs touch suede? Well if I have not sold you on this 'bag' yet, here comes the clincher. Marked down from $1350 the suede wood carrier is now only $539 at Gucci.
Gucci Medium Hobo, as a pearl besetting in the House of Gucci had just been released to the public eye and isn't even available on their official site yet. The shape accords the pictured fuchsia ostrich hobo, the material was different. Its leather was entirely covered with their new horsebit emboss and came in either a darker brown shade or more of a burgundy red. Completed was the gorgeous $1080 hobo with single strap, zip-top closure, bamboo ring details, bamboo ornament zipper pull, embossed Gucci script logo on strap, studs, and an inside zip pocket. I fell in love immediately, but had to pull out of a possible impulse buy once reality settled back in. We will try to hunt down a picture of the gorgeous leather and report on it later. In the meanwhile, I would really recommend the pictured Gucci Ostrich Hobo. The bag is currently on sale from almost $4k down to $2,300 and available directly through Gucci. I got a little touchy with the bag and was positively surprised about the supple and soft appeal of the quality ostrich leather. If you dig pink and have a thing for feathered bird leather, grab it while it's hot!

Granted I have not yet seen this bag in person, but from the looks of it the bag does not look beige- rather the color you would see when you open up a baby's diaper. The entire tote is monogrammed with the Gucci GG logo on the beige shearling and is trimmed in beige leather. This tote is also a pretty nice size: 10 3/4″H x 13 3/4″W x 5 3/4″D, but I'd still really rather pass. Of course, since the Gucci name is attached, this bag goes for a price of $1,295.
I am not a very Gucci fan, but the limited edition Gucci Crocodile and Ostrich Patchwork Bag catches my eyes when I passed by Bal Harbour Shops. It was showcased in its own window on the side of the store all by itself and was just glaring at us with handcrafted details and superb materials. The friendly salesman (whose name I can't recall, I'll dig up his biz card later) brought it out for us to inspect - in my opinion the best $22,700 spent *if* you have them to spend on a bag. The blonde crocodile and ostrich patchwork, along with the bamboo detail and the gold hardware on the strap make the bag's bite match the bark. Fantastic! Talking about exclusivity, there are only 10 of these made worldwide, and we got to appreciate it in its gorgeous entirety. The picture I pulled off the Gucci page shows the right bag - however, the strap on the one that we saw was much longer than the one depited here. Personally, it was my first time getting touchy and feely with a $20k+ bag, but I do realize where the price tag comes from. The stitching was handcrafted with out-of-this-world perfection and the materials just felt so right. If you are a collector or someone who enjoys highly exclusive shoulder bags, you may want to give this creation a try.
